I also love that this volume doesn't feel as plot heavy. Apparently she's modelled somewhat after Lois Lane, and I am very familiar with how many (male) writers have ruined her character since conception.ĪND YES: Makoto is the sister of Naomasa, the hot police officer from BNHA!!!!!! Hot police officer has a hot studious sister!!!! There's a moment between her, a guy's wife and the guy that just got me with how well written her character is, and I really hope they don't ruin her characterisation in future volumes. Her character isn't sexualised at all, and she's never confrontational with Pop. She's intelligent, driven, and unwilling to compromise her own morals and beliefs for the sake of men. When she first appears, you think she's going to become the pretty love interest, but she really doesn't become that. The attention paid to her character feels more purposeful and a commentary on the way OTHERS respond, a lot less like, say, Momo in BNHA and her honestly terrible outfit. It has the familiar jealousy of love interests, but Pop is never actively cruel, and while i dislike the focus on her body, she has these two different sides to herself and I feel like there's a confidence to her character that's very comforting and grounded. It's by far my favourite volume so far in the series, and one of my favourites across both Vigilantes and the original My Hero Academia series.įirst and foremost, there's almost a subversion of misogynistic tropes.

A 3.5 out of 5.moreĪfter the sexist mess that was Volume 2, I am so relieved this series has picked up so drastically. It doesn't blow me away but I'll continue to read it. The series just contains a lot of easy going moments, good character developments, fun fights. Just like all the other volume it's not amazing but it's alot of fun. Then Koichi mom comes and visits and lolz happens. Popstar doesn't like that as she has a crush on Koichi. With that Koichi of course falls for her. She's a writer, and she's trying to find out more about Vigilantes. Koichi falls for one of his students at his college. It doesn't blow me away but I'll conti This one was a lot of fun. He understood the thought process behind Six's strategy and was right there to intercept him and save Crawler just in time. This one was a lot of fun.

When he gets Koichi right in his crosshairs, however, soon Knuckleduster appears and delivers some choice punches right into the villain's head. It's soon revealed that this was Six's plan to funnel Crawler into a single alley where he was waiting nearby to snipe him with his "Sniper Style" form. Let's Gooooooo Knuckleduster is back!!!! /vOCtfzNVcu- V September 24, 2021Ĭhapter 110 of the series makes things pretty bad for Crawler as Number 6's Nomu clone bombs have limited where he could run to because it would put nearby bystanders in danger. It's soon revealed that Knuckleduster is finally back in action as the newest chapter comes to an end. It soon looks like Number 6 is about to get the better of the young vigilante with a newly unveiled sniping form, but thankfully Crawler has a surprise guardian angel who manages to save him just in time. Crawler has been able to keep up with Number 6's monstrous form so far thanks to the reflexes he had managed to hone over the course of the series thus far, but the newest chapter of the series has Crawler doing his best to run away from the villain as he's quickly reaching the limits of what he can do on his own.
